Introduction
This is a work by the Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens, titled:
"Theory of the Human Figure, Considered in its Principles, Whether at Rest or in Motion."
It was translated from Latin and includes 45 engraved plates by Pierre Aveline, based on designs by the renowned artist Rubens.
The book was published in Paris in 1773 by the bookseller Charles-Antoine Jombert.
